Dressmaking: The Sequel

The content covered in this course is student led, so that it depends on the project chosen what skills and techniques are covered.

It’s all about building your skills and confidence, so choose a project that you might not pick if you were sewing alone and work through it with Alison’s support, knowledge and guidance.

This course is for those who have got a few garments under their belts already. You’ve probably already completed Beginner’s Dressmaking Parts 1 & 2 with us.
Students are starting to feel more confident than a beginner but enjoy the security, support, teaching and community given within our studio setting.
This is an ongoing course, that students will want to repeat time & time again.

You will need to bring your own pattern and the fabrics and supplies required to make your chosen pattern.
Choose a pattern that takes you outside of your comfort zone, but not one that totally terrifies you!

If you would like to bring your own sewing kit, please do, however, this is not necessary as all the tools you might need are provided for you to use.

You will take away with you, any handouts and samples created during the course, the knowledge and skills gained, plus your garment (completed or otherwise) and a feeling of pride that you made it.
