Beaded Dragonfly

We will start by learning all about the tools and components used to make your dragonfly. There will then be a demonstration in the right angled weave technique used to make your dragonfly’s wings. Each step will be explained by the tutor and you will have instructions to refer to and your lovely tutor close at hand to help.

There will be examples to look at and a choice of colours for your dragonfly too. You will be able to attach your dragonfly to a rod to add to flower arrangements or plants – alternatively you can attach a brooch back to allow you to wear it on your favourite bag, coat or hat.

This course is for complete beginners (min. age 10 – children must be accompanied by adults at all times).

You do not need to have made anything with beads before or even used pliers, but it will help if you have a reasonable amount of manual dexterity and a good helping of patience.

Just yourself, all materials and tools will be supplied including cuppas and biscuits.

You will take away all the skills you learn, your instructions and your pick of beads to make another dragonfly at home, and of course the dragonfly you made as well.
