Basic Beadwork

Our basic beadwork workshops are designed for young people to enjoy and learn. We love to help children make things with pretty beads from bracelets to fairies. Workshops designed for younger children will mostly involve choosing the threading beads and the tutor will use pliers when needed. Workshops where the age is stated as 8 Years and over will involve the children using the pliers so it will not be suitable for younger children.

Beaded Fairy – Recommended age 8-16yrs
In this hour long workshop you will pick beads to create your very own beaded fairy. You will learn how to use pliers to manipulate jump rings and bend wire into loops and spirals. Some bit of this require patience including threading the bugle beads onto the fairies legs. If at any point you need help and support don’t worry Karen will be on hand to assist.

Beaded Bracelet – Recommended age 3-16yrs
In this 30 minute workshop you will get to choose and thread bends onto your memory wire bracelet and your tutor will be on hand to help you finish off your bracelet with pliers. There will be a variety of pretty beads to choose from so you can create a design that is truly unique.
