Somewhere over the rainbow – Karen’s free pattern pick

I thought I would share one of my favourite free patterns with you by Celeste Young. Some of you may already have seen it or had a go already and I promise you it really is a joy to do. The outer rows do take longer as with any pattern that works in the round but it straightforward to work up and is a great project to get your teeth into if you have completed our beginners crochet course or have some experience of crochet already. The pattern is written in American terms but its quite easy to translate as it mostly worked in UK trebles (US doubles = dc). I made mine up in Stylecraft Special DK yarn in rainbow colours ready for my niece who was born last year, can’t believe she is already walking and will be celebrating her first birthday soon.

If you need any wool don’t forget we are still taking orders for safe collection, delivery locally on foot or postage (charged at cost of postage). I am also still running my crafTEA club every monday morning online from 11am until 12pm for £5 where you can be supported in following any pattern or project you are working on in a small group and have a good old natter too!

Please send us photos or share on social media if you have a go at this pattern we would love to see what you make.

If you love the photos of Millie then Check out Helen Rowan Photography she is absolutely amazing.

Keep creating, Karen x

Ps for the technically challenged you can click on the text that says free pattern in first sentence to go to the pattern link on ravelry and the same with Helen’s website on her name.
