Woolly Wednesday happens on Wednesdays (shockingly) in the morning from 10am – 12.30pm and/or in the evening from 6.30pm – 8.30pm in our accessible studio in the heart of Chesterfield. You simply bring along whatever project you are working on (nothing noisy or messy please) and get on while nattering and enjoying our refreshments. Tea, coffee and squash along with biscuits are included in the price. There is no need to book unless you want to you can just turn up.

We are now taking payment in person rather than online to save us paypal fees, unless you want to pay monthly in which case get in touch and we will send you the details you need to set up your direct debit.

Please note that these aren’t taught sessions – if you need help with something, Karen’s CrafTEA club can help.

It’s a very friendly group and we love meeting new people so don’t be scared to come along solo and join in or just sit and listen to the others knit and natter, crochet and chat, or cross stitch away. Don’t take our word for it scroll down to see out customer reviews.

Please note these sessions are in term time and sometimes in the school holidays too. We have listed the dates on here without charge so you can check when sessions are on and so you can let us know you are coming if you want to, but there is no need to book you can just surprise us!

  1. Rosie Timperley

A very sociable group that meets weekly on Wednesday’s and folk bring their current crafty project – sewing, knitting, crochet, patchwork – to name some and craft and chat. Share advice and exchange ideas as well as enjoy time together. Some crafters go to both morning and evening, others do just one or the other. Drinks and biscuits usually made and brought to us by Jo. Great way to meet new friends and relax as well as craft.

  2. Donna Gabbitas

A great sociable and friendly group. I really enjoy going and catching up with new friends I’ve made and having a whole 2 and half hours to craft. I go to the morning group and find it very welcoming.

  3. Jo Umney

Love Woolly Wednesdays. I’ve made so many good friends in the years I’ve been going. Sometimes I go twice, morning and evening! If you ever get stuck with your project there’s always someone in the group to help you out. I’ve learned so much more too going to Straightcurves. Pottery, Jumping Clay, sewing/quilting projects, weaving, rag-rug flowers , Art Journalling to name but a few. It is such a friendly place, if you haven’t already, you should try it.

Set aside time for your current craft project and get new ideas from what others are doing and news of where to buy craft supplies online and in person.
