Lined Bag with Pockets

We will start by choosing with method to use for our pattern and then cutting out our lining and outer fabric then, work on assembling our lining including pockets. We will then sew our outer together and then assemble the inner and outer and bag out our bag. Finishing off by oversewing around the whole bag.

Anyone who feels confident making basic items on a sewing machine using straight-ish lines. We will learn all the techniques needed to complete the bag. Anyone aged 11 and over can attend this workshop. It is a great follow on from our beginners sewing machine skills course for adults or children.

You will need 1.5m of your inner fabric and 1.5m of your outer fabric. Your fabric should preferably be cotton or a lightweight linen please avoid stretchy, shiny, fluffy, or anything that's too thick.

You will not use it all but this fabric but it is enough to allow for directional patterns on your (in other words if you want something to be the right way up).

The pattern, thread and magnetic catch are provided as part of this course.

Your completed bag and your pattern to make more for personal use only. As with all our patterns you can make as many as you like for friends or family but you cannot sell products made from our patterns without prior consent in writing from ourselves.
