Aztec Plant Pots

In this session, you will learn the fundamentals of the slab-building technique to construct a sturdy and stylish pot for your favourite greenery. Once your structure is formed, the real magic begins with surface decoration. You can follow our Aztec-inspired templates or let your imagination run wild with your own unique vision.

Personalise Your Design:
• Geometric Patterns: Use our selection of professional stamps and shapes to press intricate, rhythmic patterns into the clay.
• Organic & Floral: Alternatively, use real flowers and foliage to create a soft, natural design that contrasts beautifully with the structured pot.
• Playful Personalities: You even have the option to sculpt a "playful face" onto your pot, giving your plants a characterful companion!

Perfect for beginners or those expanding their pottery skills, this class offers a welcoming environment to explore clay. An introduction to clay this workshop will involve combining basic techniques and structural building then adding surface decoration techniques.

All materials and equipment are provided along with numerous cuppas and biscuits. While we won't get too messy, we recommend not wearing your best white top. Clay should wash out, but feel free to bring an apron if you prefer (don't worry we have spares if you forget). If you need glasses for close up work we recommend not forgetting them for this session.

Your creations cannot be taken home on the day. Your pottery will need to be dried, fired and glazed to your choice of colour. They will be ready to collect at your convenience from our studio 3-4 weeks later. We will email you when they are ready to collect so you don't forget to arrange a collection time to suit you.
