Jumping Clay

Jumping Clay

StraightCurves stocks a full range of the fantastic product that is Jumping Clay!

Jumping Clay is a mess-free polymer clay which is infused with Jasmine to make it smell great! It is air-drying so there's no need to bake your finished models - just leave them for between 12 and 48 hours (depending on the size of your model and the weather!) and it will be completely set!

We also offer Jumping Clay courses for both Children and Adults, as well as one-off workshop sessions at weekends and in the school holidays

Kinder Yarns

Kinder Yarns

Kinder Yarn produces fleece, fibres and equipment, for use in spinning, dyeing, weaving and other crafts. The lady behind Kinder Yarns, Dee Sayce, also teaches a number of workshops at StraightCurves so if you've ever fancied trying your hand at Coiled Basketry, Spinning, Weaving or Dyeing then why not give it a go!

In the studio we stock a small number of Drop Spindle kits, and Dee can often be found at our Open Days with her range of naturally dyed, hand spun yarns.

Lily Mosaics

Lily Mosaics

Lily Mosaics was set up by Nottingham based mosaic artist Lis Greensmith in 2004.  Lis specialises in making quirky and beautiful mosaic items for the home and garden.

As well as exhibiting and selling her work through galleries and at fairs, Lis also runs a number of Mosaic workshops at StraightCurves for those wanting to dabble in the delights of mosaicing, or those with a little experience who would like to develop their skills.

We have a selection of DIY Mosaic Kits in the studio, and Lis updates the range regularly to reflect the season - adding ice lollies and beach huts in summer, and stars, angels and stockings at Christmas!

The Pope Twins

The Pope Twins

Liz and Kate Pope are twin sisters who live in Chesterfield and work together full time as illustrators.

Together they design and illustrate greetings cards, fine art prints, stationary and children's books. Much of their work is created with mixed media - though Liz mostly enjoys the drawing side whilst Kate love layering colour, paint, line work and collage. As well as work for the commercial market, the twins also enjoy creating one off pieces for galleries and exhibitions where they can let loose a little!

You can view and purchase some of Liz & Kate's original canvases, framed prints and cards in the StraightCurves Hallway Gallery
