Pattern Weights & Matching Bag

Tutor: Tracey Symonds
Length: 2 hours
Max Learners: 5

Learn how to make your very own pattern weights and matching bag in this fun and friendly two hour workshop!

Who Is This Workshop For?

This  session is suitable for those who can already use a sewing machine, who are aged 8 years and over, and who would like to have a go at making your our pattern weights to keep your fabric in place when you’re cutting it – like they use on The Great British Sewing Bee.

We will work through making our pattern weights step by step, we will make three of four to get the hang of it and then make a bag to keep them all neat and tidy in!

If we have time you can then carry on making more weights as you should be able to get 12 out of your fat quarter. If there isn’t time to get them all finished in the session don’t worry as you will have everything you need to take home and complete them there.

What Should I Bring With Me?

Just bring yourself as and two fat quarters or equivalent fabric – preferably in 100% cotton.

We will supply all the other bits and pieces you need and you will be able to use our equipment during the session too!

What Do I Take home?

You will take away your pattern weights and a bag to keep them in, all your skills plus instructions on how to make more too!
