Needle-felting involves plunging barbed needles into either wool tops or carded wool. The barbs catch the fibres, tangle them and gradually felt them together. It’s a great way to add detail to wet-felted work and to create 3D sculptures.
Who Is This Workshop For?
This workshop is ideal for intermediates aged 12 and over, with some previous experience wishing to develop their skills. The workshop will be limited to 6 places, so everyone will receive as much help and support as they need.
Create a cute needle-felted fox from carded wool in this fun and friendly workshop. Learn how to use a variety of techniques in order to construct and sculpt a standing fox. Then add finishing touches including beady eyes and whiskers to bring real character to your model.
We will cover using felting needles to sculpt 3D shapes, attaching parts and adding finishing touches to create character in models.
This session can run as an all-day workshop (single session) or two sessions (at the same day and time for two consecutive weeks) – please check which you are booking in the booking system below!
What Should I Bring With Me?
Just bring yourself as all materials and equipment will be provided.
The one-day workshop includes a yummy lunch buffet, so please remember to let us know if you have any special dietary requirements when you book!
What Do I Take Home?
At the end of the session you will leave with your completed foxy character and the felting needles you have used on the day in their little plastic holder and your foam. There will also be course notes to take away.
