Practical First Aid Refresher

Tutor: Alan Robinson
Length: 2.5 hours
Max Learners: 8

This workshop is designed to refresh your knowledge in the basics of what to do should the worst happen and somebody becomes ill or injured. The workshop does not result in a qualification, but is run by an accredited and highly skilled experienced first aid specialist and is suitable as an interim refresher for those holding a current Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop is for anybody who has completed the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification in the past three years and who would like to refresh their skills and update their knowledge.

The session is also suitable as a basic introduction to First Aid skills but please note that it will not allow you to become a designated First Aider – for the accredited qualification, please see our Emergency First Aid at Work one-day course.

We will begin with a general introduction to first aid, before moving on to cover the following areas:

  • Incident management
  • Casualty management
  • Recovery position
  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  • Bleeding control
  • Recognition and treatment of Shock

What Should I Bring With Me?

Just bring yourself as all props and materials will be provided. It is advisable to wear loose and comfortable clothing as there is a practical element to this workshop.

What Do I Take Home?

You will take away all of the knowledge and skills you have learned during the session, and hopefully peace of mind that, should the worst happen, you will know what to do.
