Crochet Clinic

Tutor: Joanne / Karen
Length: 2 hours
Max Learners: 6

Who Is This Workshop For?

These sessions are for people who have already learnt to crochet – whether that was at StraightCurves, in Grandma’s kitchen or anywhere else – but feel they need a little help with reading patterns, translating jargon or choosing the correct pattern for your skill levels. It doesn’t matter if you are a leftie or a rightie we have taught more people than we can count and are happy to translate patterns for you either way.

These sessions are not formally structured or taught like our other courses and workshops, so we would expect you to know how to do the stitches (basic or otherwise). Don’t worry though your tutor we will be there to help you understand the pattern, get over the tricky bits, remind you how to front post treble or perfect your popcorns. Feel free to bring more than one project to work on if you are stuck on different things as we have 2 hours per session giving you time to tackle multiple issues!

What Should I Bring With Me?

You will need to bring along your own materials, equipment and pattern(s).

You can also socialise with other crocheters, share ideas or show off your latest makes. A selection of magazines and books will also be available to browse for inspiration.

We are likely to have a few laughs along the way and the atmosphere will be supportive, so don’t worry if your crochet cat looks more like an alien!

Our full creative club members will receive a discount when they book with us direct getting these sessions for just £10 each.
